Lupus and the environment

A number of our products provide practical environmental solutions.

Our marine breakaway couplings, manufactured by Gall Thomson, provide protection against environmental pollution from the leakage of crude oil, natural gas or LPG into the ocean or atmosphere. In addition, the couplings prevent damage to pumping and transfer equipment and related operations and equipment.

Our door and window seal products help to improve the energy efficiency of homes and buildings through the provision of an effective weather seal against the elements. A key characteristic of our foam seals is their ability to function at very low temperatures.

Our Ventrolla subsidiary offers a sustainable alternative to window replacement by enabling the repair of existing sash windows and, through the use of our pile seal technology, significantly reduces draughts.

The Group is committed to improving the impact on the environment from each of its operations and to incorporating the principles of sustainable development. This extends to the use of resources such as water and power, and to the minimisation of scrap and waste. As well as benefiting the wider environment, the increasing costs associated with these items creates a clear commercial imperative for improving our performance in these areas.
