The safety of our employees is of paramount importance to the Group and employees receive health and safety training appropriate for their role. This includes training on the correct operation of plant and equipment and general health and safety awareness. Effective management of health and safety issues enables us to minimise the risk of injury to our employees, customers and suppliers; reduces the costs associated with employee illness, injury and recuperation, and protects our reputation.

The Group is committed to reducing the causes of accidents and injury. Records of incidents and accidents within our factories and offices are maintained and all incidents are thoroughly investigated. Where appropriate, remedial actions are taken and followed through and, where good practices exist, we share them across the Group through our regular executive management forum.
